July 5 –
Fly into Jackson Hole Airport – Jackson Hole, Wyoming
Approximate arrival time
11:30 a.m. (American Airlines)
Take
airport shuttle to Teton Village. Round
trip shuttle cost $42.02 + tax per person. May reserve
shuttle in advance. Get checked
in to Best Western or Hostel X, explore Teton Village and eat lunch.
Sun.
July 6 –
Ride into Teton National Park then back to Jackson Hole and take in the sights
and sounds of a western town.
Entrance
Fee into Teton and Yellowstone National Park is $20 per person. Keep your park pass, you will need it each
time you enter the parks. Good for 7
days.
Mon. July 7 – Leave in a.m. for Yellowstone National Park. See Old Faithful then head into Idaho for a
scenic highway ride. This will bring us
back to Teton Village.
Tues. July 8 – Day ride along Snake River and visit Idaho Falls Harley-Davidson – come back to Village to pack bikes for 3 days 2 nights
Wed.
July 9 –
Leave early a.m. headed to Cody, Wyoming. Spend night at Best Western $119 + tax (2007
rates). If we get there early enough
we’ll go to the rodeo, which includes fireworks afterwards. Great rodeo!
Thur.
July 10 –
Eat breakfast at Erma’s Hotel - Buffalo Bill Cody’s Daughter. Leave Cody headed across Chief Joseph HWY and
Bear Tooth Pass. Elevation
12-14,000 feet. We will eat lunch
in Red Lodge, Montana. Then ride through
Cook City and back through Yellowstone to Gardiner, Montana. Gardiner is the north entrance into
Yellowstone where we will also visit Mammoth Hot Springs.
Spend night at Super 8 $94 + Tax (2007 rates).
Fri.
July 11-
Leave Gardiner and ride through Yellowstone back to Teton Village. Stop at Grand Canyon Falls of Yellowstone and
several other points of interest.
Note:
Call airport
shuttle 24 hrs. in advance for Sunday a.m. flight
home.
Sat.
July 12 –
Spend the day riding, enjoying Teton Village, hang-gliding, take the tram up
the mountain or just relax.
Be
ready to load bikes and luggage in afternoon.
Sun.
July 13 –
Shuttle will take you back to the airport - a.m.
Pick-up time is
usually 2 hrs. prior to departure time.
My fee is $775.00 for transporting your motorcycle and luggage. There may be a small fuel surcharge added depending on fuel increases. Hopefully not!
